This is a picture of me dressed like a die hard Chicago Bears fan complete with the Mike Dikta shades, stache, and cigar. My wife and I flew to London to see the Bears play some other team. The year before, my wife and I took her daughter and parents to see the Bears play in Chicago. With flights for all 5, hotel, and Bears tickets, the cost was way more than the flights, hotel, Bears tickets to London. The year after we all went to the Bears game in San Francisco and that trip also cost more than the London trip. This picture represents just one of the many trips I have taken with my wife that I have enjoyed.
I've only been with my wife for 8 years and we have traveled quite a bit. I have always loved traveling before and my wife hadn't so I hade to figure out a way to get her out of the state. I started by taking her and her daughter somewhere different every year if the daughter got all A's in school that year. We started when she was 8yrs old and road tripped to Disneyland. The year after we went to Disneyworld. At 10, we drove her to HersheyPark in Pennsylvania. The year after we went to Disneyland Paris and EuropaPark in Germany. The A's kept coming and so did the vacations. Finally for her graduation trip we took her and her bestie on a cruise. It was a nice way to congratulate them on graduating in the top 10.
Traveling has always been in my soul. Since as far as I can remember, my mother would take me along on her travels to visit family in Mexico. I was always in charge of keeping an eye on the luggage and snacks. My mother taught me how to read the bus schedule and fare at a very early age. By the time I was 13, I was traveling on my own to visit my siblings. All throughout highschool I was traveling with the high school clubs I was in. After graduation, I joined the Air Force and was now getting paid to travel. What a great life! Nowadays, the wife just waits until I tell her to pack her bags and gets the passports ready.
